Casino theme christmas night out

 

All at the Associations Christmas night out had a successful and enjoyable evening. As it was casino theme most of the members decided to dress accordingly. 

2013 Sportsmans dinner

For the third successive year Renfrewshire Referees Association will host a sportsman dinner in aid of local charities.

The dinner will take place on Thursday 28th March 2013 at the Glynhill Hotel, Renfrew.

Kilmarnock Assistant Manager Jimmy Nicholl and impressionist Paul Reid will provide entertainment.

Tickets are priced at £35 per person, inclusive of a 3-course meal, with money raised be split between Accord & St. Vincent's Hospices.

If you can, please come along on the night, support the Association, have a fantastic night and help raise money for two excellent causes in the process. 
You are also more than welcome to bring family/friends/business contacts. 
If you can't make it on the night then perhaps you could donate a raffle prize or purchase a raffle ticket.  The event, as always, is open to members of all categories and experience, and its success, or otherwise, depends on your support!

Sportsmans Dinner 2012

The 2012 Charity Sportsman's Dinner will be held on Thursday 5th April 2012 at the Glynhill Hotel in Paisley.

Speakers are ex FIFA and category 1 referee Kenny Clark as well as Celtic, West Ham and St. Mirren legend Frank McAvennie. 

Tickets cost £35 with tables of 10 also available. Members should contact Gerry Reid or any member of the social committe for details and to reserve tickets.

Refs complete Santa Dash

Renfrewshire Referees Association continue to in its support of good causes when five of its members completed the Santa Dash in aid of Alzheimer Scotland.

Tom Stewart and Robert Rowan joined President Barry Cook and Sponsorship & Charities Officer John Reid to take part in the 5 Kilometer (3.1 Miles) race through the streets of Glasgow.
The Association had opted to support Alzheimer Scotland in memory of former referee   Robert Colquhoun who sadly passed away, earlier this year.
President Barry Cook said, “Renfrewshire Referee Association wanted to do something in memory of Robert, who served the association extremely well over many years. He regularly took charge of amateur and Schools matches and has been sadly missed by everyone involved with Renfrewshire Referee Association.”

All the referees, who were dressed as Santa, completed the race; which took place on Sunday 9th December.

Sponsorship & Charities Officer John Reid added, “It was good to see Tom and Robert give up there time to support such a good cause and hopefully one all the sponsorship is counted we’ll have raised a good amount of money. I would also like to extend my thanks to everyone who has sponsored any of our Santa’s”
